In the early stages of plastic mold development, product developers, our customers, are most concerned about how long the mold takes to make? Whether it is electronic products, medical products or environmental protection equipment, there will be updates every day in the market. It is said that time is not enough for money, and it is more like the life of a company. I think this is what most entrepreneurs agree with. Regarding how long it takes to process plastic molds, this question cannot be generalized. It must be considered from multiple factors, such as the difficulty of product structure processing, customer product requirements, product material characteristics, and the minimum order quantity of mold products, that is, the number of mold openings. .
1. The plastic mold processing and production cycle is strictly scientifically calculated, and it is impossible to just report a number to the customer casually. This mainly depends on the complexity of the product design structure, size, precision, quantity requirements, product performance, etc. 1. Product structure: refers to the structural difficulty of samples provided by customers. It can generally be understood as follows: the more complex the shape of the plastic part, the more difficult it is to make the mold. Technically speaking, the more parting surfaces of plastic parts, the more assembly positions, buckle positions, holes, and rib positions, the greater the processing difficulty. In both cases, the mold making time will be correspondingly prolonged. Generally speaking, as long as the mold structure is more complex, the quality will be lower, the processing difficulty will be greater, the problem points will be more, and the final product effect will be slower.
2. Product size: Yes, the larger the size, the longer the cycle of plastic mold processing. In contrast, the processing time of spare parts will be longer.
3. Product requirements: Different customers have different requirements for products. Whether the designed appearance surface is sub-surface or glossy or mirror surface, which affects the production cycle of plastic molds.
4. Product material performance: Our products often have special requirements, and the requirements for mold steel and processing technology are also different. For example, we have made PC and ceramic molds in the early stage of Xinghongzhan Technology. The purpose of adding ceramics is to insulate and fire. It is generally used in On led lighting. The mold requirements are different. The mold needs to be hardened. After hardening, the precision grinding machine will be processed twice, and the subsequent processing will be more difficult. Naturally, it will take a little more time. There are also some molds that require anti-corrosion or soft plastic molds. All will be different, and the manufacturing process will be more complicated.
5: The number of cavities of the mold: that is, a set of molds has several holes, and a set of molds produces several products. It depends on the size of the customer’s product market. There must be a difference between two products and one product. Processing The time will also be different. Normally, since the market for new products has not been fully opened, the market demand for this product is not so great. At this time, the number of holes in the injection mold will not be so large, and the market supply can be guaranteed, and the price/performance ratio is relatively highest. Of course, after the product’s market is matured, the number of cavities of the mold must be increased. It depends on the market demand to determine whether to change the number of cavities in order to feed back the market demand.
